Snapshot Holiday Turkey

17 deg, very pleasant for the 1st day of January. The photo was taken yesterday though. I will post some fantastic flamingo photos taken by a professional photographer shortly.

With the festive season upon us, not a flakes if snow in sight at Milas or Bodrum. Temperatures remain in the top teens with the sun feeling very pleasant, clearing away any winter blues. Rain is on the way again though.

View over Gulluk bay from Flamingo Country Club, in-between Bodrum and Milas. Enjoying temperatures of 18 deg today. IdealWorld Bodrum ate busy checking apartments while most in Europe etc are enjoying Boxing day.

The mandarins have all been picked from the trees and it is now the start of olive season. The lemons and oranges are hanging heavily on the trees, so they can be picked for use. Great for that vitamin C boost needed this time if year.

I can only guess this block work us going to be cement rendered (stucco). I leave it to your judgement what you think of the quality of build. They have used Gazbeton (aerated autoclave concrete) blocks. Put it this way, I am glad whoever built it is not building my house.

Get out your hats and gloves as the winter sets in. It seems colder and more miserable than it was last year as the sun peaks through only on the occasion. Heavy rain, winds and minor storms are the order of the week.
