Flamingo Country Club Guest feedback

Image
We just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you so much for all your advice and support in sorting out the holiday to Turkey. We had the most fabulous time. We thought the apartment was excellent. It was ideal and the boys loved the whole complex, especially the pools and the slides. The people were delightful - so helpful and friendly. A huge thank you to you (Dave) and to Simon in Turkey. We're thinking we'll be in touch soon for another booking next year. It really was fabulous. Very best wishes Sally, Mark, Oli, Tom and Josh Manz (Lantana 8)

Fire near Lakeside Gardens Resort

Image
This time of year after so many month without rain are the most dangerous. It only take a spark, a carelessly discarded bottle or a cigarette to set off a forest fire. The quickest way to get water to a fire is buy helicopter or plane. These can be seen on a daily basis at this time of year.

Aydem Electric registration

Image
This particulary concerns owners at  Flamingo Country Club, Royal Heights and Turquoise resorts although it gives an introduction to any owner of a property in Turkey. One of the images is of a typical meter with the Tesisat number displayed below it. The other is a screen shot of the Aydem website were you will be able to find your electricity bill debt. As you know all meters have been replaced and a Tesisat (installation number) will be allocated to match each property and meter. All the meters at FCC now have Tesisat numbers assigned, and as we cannot check the meters individually, I have been told Artev have the numbers, so they can be contacted for them to  tell you your Tesisat number. The meters at Turquoise and Royal Heights are currently being registered and I have no information at this time as to whether Artev have all the numbers yet. I am sure if you contact Artev they will be able to tell you. So what does this mean? With this number you will be able t

A village house up in the mountains. Set amongst farm land with cows, chickens living in trees, tobacco plants, olive and pine trees. Quiet and very secluded.

It looks like milk

Image
Many visitors to Turkey have made the common mistake of buying this carton of liquid thinking it is milk. To confuse even more, it can have a picture of a cow on it and mentions 100% and it is usually with the milk. Milk is Sut in Turkish. It is commonly sold as UHT, but fresh milk is becoming more available in the supermarkets. Ayran is in fact a mix of yogurt, water and salt. This does nit go well with a cup of tea or coffee. However, it is a very refreshing drink.

Some photos taken during last winter in Bodrum when temperatures were a lot cooler, you can get a seat in a restaurant without waiting and there is no hustle and bustle.

Turquoise signs

Image
Information is important for guests. They do not have the regular newsletters and updates like owners. A couple of useful signs at Turquoise resort. Not only can you see where to wait for the shuttle bus, but the timetable is shown also. Knowing what to do with the rubbish. There are plenty of large bins at Turquoise, and it is useful for guests to know the rubbish collection times. Spot the spelling error.
